What I've Bought...

Rimmel 'Scandaleyes' eyeliner in nude; Rimmel 'Kate Moss' lipsticks in 19 and 107 (matte); Eyelure Individual lashes; Collection 'Lasting Perfection' and 'Illuminating Touch' Concealers in 01 and 02; Monki Jumper, Sunglass Keeper and Collar Tips: Topshop Fur Lined Camo Jacket and Monki Shirt; Minnetonka Moccasins

Ok, so I may have had a big payday last Friday and I may have gotten a little excited about it and treated myself - a lot. As I'm now back at uni for third year though, I'd rather I spend the money on a winter wardrobe than drink it all away and be too poor for a vital pair of boots in a months time! And also, there have been crazy amounts of discount codes lately so I've been taking full advantage!

The Monki items are all amazing and such lovely quality. I feel paying £6 postage for those bits was worth it because of the great prices and the fact I can't get it on my local high street. The Minnetonka moccasins are so comfortable and versatile and I'd highly recommend! I got mine 20% off through Urban Outfitters but ASOS sell them too, just size down because they come up big and stretch out too! My favourite makeup buy is definitely the Rimmel matte lipstick, I have shade 107 and I absolutely love it for winter.

What have you been buying lately? Not that I need any more encouragement, there are 3 more packages to come eek!

Denim and polka dots

Just a quick little tease post today because I'm so pleased with what I got! I decided to make a trip to Southampton today, purely for Urban Outfitters and it was definitely worth the traffic and the rain!! I picked up some complete bargains and came away with exactly what I wanted which isn't always how my shopping trips turn out. I'll definitely be showing some of this off to you in the next week or so!

Little Haul #2

Just wanted to quickly show some bits I picked up last week! It was one of those days that was full of good offers and discounts so I came away with more bits and pieces than I expected. My main reason for going shopping was to get some trainers. I was going to get some Vans but after trying on a pair of Superga's I fell in love and took them straight to the till. I haven't worn them yet because I haven't worn trainers in years and need to find a way that works for me, I'm so used to wearing ballet pumps and ankle boots!

I had a 35% off code for H&M so I picked up these sunglasses for £3.99 and I think they're amazing, I also got this double necklace for around the same price and haven't taken it off really! I went into New Look for a hair doughnut and was told at the till it was buy one get one free jewellery and hair accessories. After several laps of the jewellery I found these earcuffs, and just took the chain and cuff off one so I could have one cross stud. Finally, Topshop in Bournemouth wasn't really doing it for me but I spotted this tunic in the buy it now section. I've seen and liked it before so I picked it up but I'm not sure if I love it enough to keep it. Also, it's a size too big which I thought wouldn't matter due to the smock shape but there may just be too much fabric aka it makes me look pregnant. Any thoughts? What bits have you picked up recently that you love?

Little Haul

Floral top: New Look, Vest: Topshop, Jeans: New Look, Necklaces: Both Miss Selfridge, Nail Varnish: Barry M Peach Melba and Top Coat/Base Coat/Nail Hardener, Concealer: Collection 2000

Hello! Currently chomping on an easter egg back at uni, about to crack open some 'Jeeves' (some kind of pimms esque drink I found in Lidl, of course). I didn't manage to get posts up before I headed back because I ended up in a bit of a whirlwhind of shopping, cream teas and seeing 21 Jump Street at the cinema. Thought I'd show you some of the bits I've picked up since being at home because if you're anything like me, you'll enjoy a little nosey. I also got some 7/8ths supersoft skinny's from New Look, their supersofts are my new favourites! The ones pictured here are only £12 and almost identical to Topshop Leighs even down to the little darker coloured turn up. Both the necklaces were only £1 each in the Miss Selfridge sale so definitely check that out! Just grabbed some cheapy bits in Boots 3 for 2. Love the concealer so far but thought I would after all the good reviews.

Hardly working

Fur knit: Topshop (sale), Cords: Topshop (sale), Jumper: New Look, Dress: Topshop, Blazer; Asos
Brow kit: Benefit, Paul and Joe nail enamel in Oh Holy Night, Topshop nail polishes in Blitz and Miasma,
 GOSH nail glitter in Gold
Flower and bow necklaces: Local boutique, Moustache necklace: Accessorize, Shoes: Topshop

Does anyone else find that they seem to be working non stop but their workload isn't getting any smaller or more manageable?! Stressed is not how I wanted to start the new year but oh well, life. It'll be over soonish and life will be brill! How has your start to the new year been? I realise in the grand scheme of things that lots of uni work isn't actually that bad, especially after such a lovely and lucky Christmas!

Just thought I'd show you some of my new bits, mostly gifts but a couple of cheeky sale buys. I've also bought some bargain H&M boots and trousers which you will see soon enough! Everything I got for Christmas was perfection and so well chosen, beautiful surprises, I was very lucky. I've worn the Topshop dress so many times, I was so unsure whether it would be hideous on me but I'm officially in love and am very much considering the navy. The ASOS jacket is actually my first ASOS piece of clothing and I'm impressed, it's so flattering and a great addition to my wardrobe. I'm so happy to finally have the vectras, Topshop shoes have been incredibly comfortable this year. Also, I must recommend Benefit Browzings if you haven't tried it. Medium is the ideal colour for me and I find the application easy and the results impressive!

I hope this doesn't come across as boastful in any way, I genuinely thought I should share these bits with you as they are all new favourites (I have a big family and lots of siblings!). Oh, and finally, this 5 year diary was one of my favourite gifts, beautiful idea and the book itself is so pretty!

HAUL BABY

A massive hello to all of you lovely people and yet again apologies for such sporadic posting (sporadic is a great word). My course is seriously intense at the minute and I'm only second year! I'm trying to start making more time for 'me' things though, blogging being one of those things of course!

Sweater and blouse: Forever 21, Jumper: Warehouse, Scarf: Vintage, Bag: Monki

I went to the new Forever 21 and actually wasn't as disappointed as I thought I'd be. There is some crap that you have to rummage through before you get to the nicer bits but the two tops I picked up have been well loved since I got them, and were very pleasantly cheap. I also visited the new Monki concession in Selfridges and I urge you to go if you get the chance. Beautiful quality and really interesting and wearable items for very good prices, the clutch bag was only £15! The warehouse jumper has also been a very good buy. It's insane how warm it is and I got it with £15 off. I like the slubbiness of it and the cuffs and neck have a lurex thread running through which makes it a bit more special and certainly different to what other high street stores are offering. For now though, it doesn't look like I'll be buying any new clothes for a while (boooo), although I did just sell my old iphone on mazuma.

Once again, I'm going to try to promise to have some interesting posts to show you soon, desperate to get a decent outfit post but my uni room is just terrible for it!

I'm Back!

I finally have internet! It's been a long two weeks without google to turn to at every problem, without being able to untag hideous photos from nights out that are best forgotten and without being able to blog and read everyone else's blogs of course!
I'm really excited about my course this year, I will be doing a 3 month placement from February which is both terrifying and exciting and will of course call for a much coveted work wardrobe! I'm enjoying the whole university experience so much more than I did in my first year and foundation and haven't even been home yet which I think is quite unlike me, I'm such a homebody. How's everyone finding uni this year? Work has already piled on and even my course leader has admitted to us that last year was terrible and this year a feel so much more inspired.
Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, lack of entertainment in the student house has meant that I've had to entertain myself in other ways, namely shopping and eating out. Neither my waistline or my bank balance is thanking me very much but at least I have something to show you! I finally bit the bullet and got the Topshop boyfriend coat when it was 20% this weekend and I absolutely adore it. It's very flattering, very glamourous and very cosy and I was after a faux fur stole anyway so I can detach this one and wear it with loads of other things. The H&M leggings were an incredible £7.99 and I really love them. I'm trying to get hold of the fake leather ones they've got in the same style (same price aswell) but only a size 16 in Bournemouth. Anyone know where I can get hold of any? I took back the Topshop faux leather trousers which I'm a bit sad about, but they were too hot and too difficult to do up for a night out which is what I wanted them for really so I'm on the hunt for a suitable alternative I think.
Thankyou for everyone continuing to read, comment and follow in my unexpectedly long absence! I will be back to replying to comments and viewing your blogs from now

What I bought

Top photo: All Primark. Middle photo: Leggings and flats, Topshop. Top, H&M. Bottom photo: All Tiger.

Oh dear, I may have bought quite a lot today, but in all honesty I didn't spend any more than I intended and I came away with wayyy more. It was an efficient little trip, about 2/3 hours in total  and I am totally over the moon with what I got. I wasn't able to make my Lush purchase as it was being refurbished but I will save that for another time as I also want to go on the hunt for a good red or pink lipstick, a chunky knit jumper and maybe a felt fedora.  Primark was pretty good today, loads of lovely scarves and bags. The jeans are great by the way, almost identical to my last pair of Topshop Jamie's and a ridiculous £9?!! Will let you know how well they keep their shape though. I wanted to buy a jumper from there also, but I left it behind on the basis that it was black and I'd rather a colour or a grey, so the hunt continues. The little top from H&M was only a tenner and I am so in love with it, another shop with lots of beautiful items in stock today. The Topshop flats I have wanted for ages so I slipped them on out of curiosity and my feet felt so at home that I had to have them. The leather look leggings are causing me the biggest dilemma, I dont know whether or not to swap them for the trousers, any advice? They are brill though but I'll have to swap them anyway because they are a little scuffed in one part. My little haul from a shop called Tiger is making me so happy! Look at all those sketchbooks, and they were only £2/3, anyone that studies an arts subject will understand the woes of expensive sketchbooks! Big fan of the heart shaped buckets I got to put jewellery etc in, excited to have all these little bits in my uni room now!

I'm getting an early night tonight, work just rang and have decided as a leaving present for tomorrow I can work 8.30-6. Fab. Has anyone else been shopping and picked up some good bits this weekend? Do share any wonderful bargains or beautiful things if you have! Oh and hello and thankyou to all of my new followers and all of you lovelies leaving such brilliant comments, you make my day with it all, seriously!
