My love, my love

Sandals: Topshop, Jacket: All Saints, Heels: Asos, Dress: Topshop, Blush: Nars 'Sin', Mac Lustre Drops in Pink Rebel, Sandals: Topshop

Well, hello!

Firstly sorry for the very unexpected break from blogging recently. I don't know how many of you have been through/are going through final year at uni but wowee it is crazy!! I've given myself a rare afternoon off and with my birthday on monday what better time to make a little wishlist! I love this time of year when all the spring/summer stuff starts coming through and I can decide what I'll be wearing for the next few months. Pinafores and tan sandals are my loves at the minute! The all saints jacket is BEYOND a dream but I really love and had to include it.

Christmas list

Fur coat: Topshop, Necklace: Zara, IPad case: Marc by Marc Jacobs via Selfridges, Watch: Casio via Urban Outfitters, Hat: Topshop, Perfume: Chloe, Lipstick and Nail Varnish: Illamasqua set via ASOS, Perfume: Stella McCartney

I've been pretty much bed bound for the last 5 days with a rubbish stomach virus so it's been a good opportunity to think about a brill christmas list for this year. I text my mum with all the many discount codes that were around this week (seriously, crazy amounts!) so I'm hoping one or two of these will be turning up under the tree! I bought my first presents today and it's a good feeling to start the shopping. I'm excited about christmas, but I'm not going to be on my usual level until I hand in on the 5th December! Will be drinking mulled wine and watching Home Alone that day for sure!

What's on your list?

Gothic

Flats: Office, Heels: Office, Hat: American Apparel, Dress: Topshop, Tee: Topshop, Ring: Topshop, Blush: Nars 'Outlaw'

First of all, sorry! I haven't blogged in a while because it's all going on at the minute and final year is definitely full on. Anyone else doing their dissertation at the minute?! Nightmare. Anyway, I thought I'd compile a little wishlist as (hopefully) it's payday on Friday and my wardrobe is looking out for a little boost. I have a big birthday party to go to on Saturday so top of my list is a really nice pair of heels that I'm planning on seeing me through the rest of the 'party period' as well!

What's on your wishlist at the minute? I'm always up for some enabling!

Wishing for...

Moccasins: Minnetonka, Cardigan: Topshop, Jumper: Monki, Boots: Topshop, Shirt: Monki, Lipstick: Illamasqua in 'Salacious'

I can't even tell you how big my wishlist is at the minute! I'm just feeling so excited by all the coats and boots that are around and feeling inspired to kick off my winter wardrobe. I've already bought a fur lined camo jacket from topshop and some darker winter jeans (the new Topshop jamie's are so nice!) but that's nowhere near enough. Luckily for me, it's payday this friday so I'm hoping to purchase some of this before I had back to uni and have to use my money for actually living off of!

What are you wishing for at the minute?

edit: I may have just ordered the moccasins...

The Holiday List

Dip Dye Tee: Topshop £18, Drawstring Skirt: £10, Sandals: Office £25, Grey Tee: Topshop £16, Nail Polish: Models Own £5: Blush: Sleek £10, Floral Trousers: Monki £12, Floral Top: Monki £4.80,

I am aware that it is horrific and raining outside but to me that seems like all the more reason to get excited and prepared for my summer holiday. I haven't had two weeks away since I can remember so I think that definitely deserves a bit of a spend on some holiday items, but with massive deposits and a new passport to be paid for, I definitely can't allow myself to go too crazy. While the weather is uninspiring, the high street is actually full of lovely colours and prints and fabrics and a lot of it is on sale which is brill. I thought I would see if I could find some versatile holiday staples within a £100 budget to give my wardrobe and my makeup bag a bit of a boost for going away. This is what I came up with! Everything pictured comes to £100.80, but with my well loved student card it would be well under the £100 mark which I think is pretty good. Let me know what you think and what you think your holiday staples for £100 would be!

One, Two, Three

Bag:Zara, Jacket:Zara, Necklace:ASOS

Three things that have caught my eye this week. I'm in a bit of a muddle with my style at the minute and I don't think the weather is really helping with that so I keep feeling really badly put together and a bit messy. Hate that! Maybe some little finishing touches will add something interesting to the masses of basics I already own and help me feel more put together! I need to be working from a list like I did last summer instead of just impulsively purchasing bits because nothing seems to be going together very well. So, if we're going with the idea of a list, I definitely don't need any more necklaces but a new bag and/or jacket could definitely be on the cards. Just hanging on for the sun to make an appearance so I can really get into my summer wardrobe!

Printed

Ipad clutch: Topshop, Trainers:Vans via Urban Outfitters, Highlighting Blush: Nars in Miss Liberty, Shirts: Both Zara, Necklace: H&M

Seems a little greedy to post a wishlist the day after a haul but what can I say? The highstreet is doing it for me at the minute and I need some bits ready for my summer wardrobe! I know for sure that I'll be buying myself some Vans this weekend but am having a nightmare deciding what colour I want! I'm excited to get a pair of trainers because I haven't had a pair (except for ugly running Nike's) for years and years and actually love how they look with a pair of skinnies. The Zara shirts are firmly on my wishlist, I'm hoping I get paid tomorrow so I can grab one! I'm thinking with skinny jeans and Vans, it could make a good daytime outfit and break me out of wearing greys and dull tones ready for the sunshine (I hope). I also need to get myself a good highlighter ready for the summer because I love that glowing look on holiday or for summer evening drinks. If I get anything exciting I will make sure I show you!

ps. Got some bits on eBay again here, help me fund some of the wishlist!

Pink Friday

Drape Blazers: New Look, Fitted Blazer: H&M, Double Breasted jacket: River Island

Sorry for my not posting this week but I haven't had my laptop and posting on iPad/iPhone is a little tricky and not as I'd like sometimes! I have my laptop back to life now though, but this weekend is another mental one because it's my boyfriend's birthday this time!! I've done a little bit of shopping this week so will try to get a little haul post done next week. I'm off out to dinner in about half hour, already thinking about what I might order! Pink/pastel blazers are taking over my mind right now but I haven't found the perfect one yet. I found one in H&M that was the most ideal cut for my shape but I'm not convinced that I'll wear a neon pink blazer much more than once! As it's a bit of trend item I think it's best off that I pay a little less for one so I'm going to keep my eyes peeled in places like H&M, New Look and Primark for my dream jacket. What's top of your wish list at the minute?

Too shy, can't speak

Jacket: Topshop, Lip Stick: Topshop, Blush: Benefit, Trainers: Vans via Office, Purse: Vivienne Westwood via Selfridges, Necklace: ASOS

Oh my goodness, I have honestly had to be so disciplined since Christmas and on a complete spending ban from clothes and accessories and makeup...I haven't bought a thing! So you can only imagine how excited I am that it's my 21st birthday on Saturday and I've made myself a little bit of money on eBay - treat time!! First on my list of clothing wants is a pink blazer. Now, I don't really know why as I'm not the biggest pink person but I honestly feel like I need one. The Vivienne Westwood purse was something I spotted while on the hunt for nice things to ask for and I'm just in love with it, pink again for some reason. I'm definitely going to treat myself to some new makeup bits with the money I've made because I am in a bit of a rut when it comes to my face, I feel the need for a new coral lipstick and/or blush but also feeling for Benefit Hervana as it is just so beautiful. The Asos necklace is just a really lovely piece I think, and some new jewellery could be a cheaper way to give my wardrobe a little boost. Also, I haven't had a pair of trainers for so so many years but for some reason I'm really drawn to wanting a pair of Vans at the minute, I just don't know what I have in my wardrobe that would suit?! Hopefully I'll be able to share some lovely new things with you after the weekend, finally!

Frankie says

Trousers: American Apparel, Necklace: Vivienne Westwood via Urban Outfitters, Clutch: See by Chloe via Net a Porter sale, Watch: Michael Kors via Ernest Jones, Flats: French Sole, Bag: Vivienne Westwood via Selfridges, Glasses: Ray Ban, Sunglassses: Cutler and Gross via Net a Porter, Purse; Miu Miu via Net a Porter

Deadlines are over! I can't even tell you how lost I feel without having a mountain of work looming every morning I wake up but I'm starting to feel truly relaxed. Until the next one in a couple of weeks I guess.

I'd love more than anything to be able to take some outfit photos and the like now I've got the time to do it but dear lord the lighting in my uni room is horrific. I live in the scabby garage bit, booo, don't know why I didn't realise that was a terrible idea at the time?! I have found a new house for next year though, 5 other lovely girls and a truly nice place so fingers crossed that final year will be the year I love my accomodation!

So Christmas is practically only just over but I can already start thinking about my 21st in February! I was more than spoilt for my 18th birthday so I'm imagining this one to be a little more played down but I think my Mum wants me to have something I can keep. The first things that came to mind were some AA disco pants (not really in keeping with the whole 'something I can keep' thing), seriously someone needs to have words with me. I have honestly wanted them for absolute years and the sudden re-surge in their popularlity is making me pretty determined not to get left behind this time but we'll have to see how my thighs cope in all that stretchy, shiny glory. My wishlist is kind of what I would ask for if I was extremely cheeky and pushing my luck, don't worry I'm not that bratty, but those are the most fun right?

Wishful wishful

Items from Love, Topshop, Urban Outfitters, Opi and Ray-Ban

Firstly I want to say thank you and hello to new followers and lovely commenters and everyone reading. I'm loving reading all your comments and seeing new followers, you're all so lovely! I'm taking a break from busting out the stop motions today to make a little wishlist. I'm going home this weekend (eeee!) and I know my mum will want to know what I want for Christmas (a month tomorrow so I think the excitement is beginning to become appropriate) and I thought I'd do some preparation.

I really want a new pair of glasses (got my short-sighted eyes on some Chanel or some Ray Ban frames) which is maybe a little boring but I can't afford them myself at the minute, boooo. Since student poverty first struck me 2 years ago, I really enjoy just getting clothes and makeup and really standard stuff because I can't really justify buying them for myself. I'd really like to finally get my hands on some slipper shoes and some good quality sparkly nail polish (ideally Opi 'Rainbow Connection'). I'm easily pleased! I cannot wait to start my own Christmas shopping. I keep considering doing big orders online and getting it all out of the way but I'm just depriving myself of a brill day shopping, wrapped up warm with plenty of Starbucks hot chocolate breaks and Christmas music. What's everyone else asking for or treating yourself to for the festive period? I think I'm going to buy myself a vulgar, sequinned vintage knit for Christmas day because that's just what I feel I should wear. I'll try to do a post soon where I don't mention Christmas but I can't make any promises about that.

Wednesday Wishful

Slippers: Topshop - I need a second pair of good quality flats really, to save me from getting through about 5 pairs from Primark and getting wet feet when it rains. Been wanting some slippers all summer and dalmation print is just too good to be true
Jeans: Both Topshop - Really desperate for a pair of proper high-waisted jeans (without the corset bit, y'know?) but also in love with the acid wash on these skinnies!
Skirt: H&M- I do need a black skirt like this as I don't own any (how?) and it will go with everything and make dressing that little bit easier. Being leather (faux) just makes it better
Jacket: Topshop - Desperate for some polka dots at the minute and this colour is amazing, not to mention the cut of it. I think jackets are my favourite thing, can never have enough.
Playsuit: River Island - A really easy piece to wear and I love sleeves!
Jumper: H&M - I just need something like this in my wardrobe. I picture myself throwing it on over patterned dresses and dresses that are a bit cold for winter.

I really like doing my seasonal shopping according to a list at the minute. I did it for the summer and I've done it so far for my A/W wardrobe and it works so well for me. I keep a list of all the things I will need or really really want in my Iphone notes and then delete when that thing is bought, don't know why I told you that as if it as some kind of intelligent process. Although I do pick up the odd piece that I haven't listed, I find it means I don't buy anything that I don't need and won't wear and it also means I buy far better quality. It also means that I love my wardrobe so much more than I did this time last year so I know I'll definitely continue shopping this way for a long time. I ticked off everything from my initial list (boots, flats, trousers, jumpers, and a good dress) but with uni approaching, I know there are a few essentials (and some naughty non-essentials) that I should purchase while I have the money and before I am a poor, poor student again! I doubt I will be able to afford everything on here, and equally there will be other more pressing essentials to spend my money on, but it's nice to dream isn't it!?

Does anyone else shop from a list? Isn't it so satisfying to tick things off it, lists are the key to happiness! Anyone got any super tips I should be aware of for managing my money as a student, because as yet I haven't quite got to grips with the concept of saving!

wishful wishlist

Boots:Office, Jacket:Topshop, Tshirt:Topshop Boutique, Bag:Moschino, Jeans:Current/Elliott

Bag:Zara, Shoes:Topshop, Bracelet:Vivienne Westwood, Dress:Topshop Boutique

Today hasn't been exciting or glamorous and I'm struggling to want to do much more than curl up in front of celebrity big brother. I know, I'm disgusted that I let myself get hooked again as well but has anyone else been completely won over? I looked after my 3 nephews this morning from 8.30 and then went on a run this evening with my mums two pugs and my sister, but after one of the animals made a bid for freedom the run wasn't all that successful. I've been following the couch to 5k running plan, and as a self confessed 'non-runner' since about 4 weeks ago, I can safely say that it works so would urge you to try it if you fancy some exercise!

Just a bit of eye candy for today, I'm working tomorrow so I'll see what I can fit in but I'm hoping to attempt a proper outfit post on Wednesday or Thursday when I have the day off! As you can probably gather, the first selection is what I would have for a new daytime outfit in an ideal world and the second is what I would wear by night if uni wasn't fast approaching and if I didn't need to save most of my pennies for food shopping and bills, boooo.
