wishful wishlist

Today hasn't been exciting or glamorous and I'm struggling to want to do much more than curl up in front of celebrity big brother. I know, I'm disgusted that I let myself get hooked again as well but has anyone else been completely won over? I looked after my 3 nephews this morning from 8.30 and then went on a run this evening with my mums two pugs and my sister, but after one of the animals made a bid for freedom the run wasn't all that successful. I've been following the couch to 5k running plan, and as a self confessed 'non-runner' since about 4 weeks ago, I can safely say that it works so would urge you to try it if you fancy some exercise!

Just a bit of eye candy for today, I'm working tomorrow so I'll see what I can fit in but I'm hoping to attempt a proper outfit post on Wednesday or Thursday when I have the day off! As you can probably gather, the first selection is what I would have for a new daytime outfit in an ideal world and the second is what I would wear by night if uni wasn't fast approaching and if I didn't need to save most of my pennies for food shopping and bills, boooo.

Wishful Sunday

Some phone shots from this week. It was a relatively good one because of the unexpected sunshine! I chilled a lot, worked a bit and spent some quality time with my sisters. I probably drank more than usual but that's ok once in a while! I acquired 2 new dresses, one which I splashed out on myself and one which was a gift so it wasn't a horrendous week for my bank account. Will show you the new freebie properly soon because I love it!

Most importantly, this week I started wishful sinful and have seen more views and comments than I would have ever expected in my first, slightly dodgy week and I'm really happy and grateful for that. I think it's lovely that so many of you stop to comment, makes me think that I'm not just rambling to myself.

Hope you've had lovely weeks and weekends too, what did you get up to? Are many people back to school next week or off to uni soon? I'm going back to uni on the 24th and the countdown has well and truly begun, so excited to get back into it and move into my lovely new house with my gorgeous housemates! In other news, I just sneezed 8 times in row and then did another 5, someone reassure me that this isn't completely abnormal?!

Last Night...

Jacket: Primark
Dress: Motel
Leggings: American Apparel
Boots: Topshop

Just a quick post today to show you how I wore my new Motel dress yesterday night. I had a great night, the lovely weather really helps. I did drink some tequila though which has made me a bit worse for wear today. Tonight I'm playing it as low key as possible as I have work at 9 am tomorrow even though we don't open until 10.30 so God knows what they'll have me doing at that blasphemous time on a Sunday. I really wanted to take a proper photo of my outfit as I know it makes all the difference but I was in such a hurry and was struggling without a tripod. If the interest is there to see further outfit shots I will purchase one asap! Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend, keep commenting, I'm really enjoying reading them and seeing all of your lovely blogs.

Oh, Rosie

I hope everyone is enjoying the wonderful weather if you are experiencing this unexpected sunshine too! I have been having a lovely time having drinks by the canal and have decided to continue the party tonight. Obviously a night out on a day like today should be justified by a fabulous outfit so I was so excited to see my new Motel dress waiting when I got home just now and I just had to write about it. Motel is a brand that has seen me through my most extreme partying phases, becoming a staple and a go to when I wanted to feel great and look good.

I tried the Rosie dress on in Peach recently and was won over completely once again. It's hugely flattering for my curvy figure (and big boobs!) but peach was just not a good colour for me. So I got home and ordered the dress in teal (it comes in a variety of colours and prints and there's a similar playsuit too, I think I will be ordering a least one more). It's a gorgeous colour, a perfect fit and very comfortable to wear. I cannot urge people to try this dress enough, it's my new favourite. There are plenty of discount codes out there, and free postage is always a winner in my books. I can see this dress flattering a range of figures, I think the flared skirt and fitted waist would create curves on someone slimmer than me. You can see the different colours here, let me know if you order anything!

What do you think of the Rosie dress and Motel in general? What are your favourite motel items? Also hello to all you lovely people that have been viewing, commenting and following, it makes my day to know that people are reading and enjoying what I'm writing so early on and makes me so excited to continue with wishful sinful. Thankyou so much
and please say hello and let me know what you think!

I'll leave you with a dodgy photobooth shot of tonights makeup and will try to include an outfit shot tomorrow! I'm in a hurry!

Never change your spots

As a student with an unhealthy need to spend, I have decided that for this winter I want focus more on creating a kind of  'capsule wardrobe', no matter how much I hate the phrase. I'm not a huge fan of the idea of an entire wardrobe made up of 20 or so pieces (I am a fashion student after all!) but I am a big believer in investing a bit more money in some garments that the rest of your clothes can work around. By purchasing a few higher quality pieces, I'm hoping that maybe one or two purchases a month can fit in to keep my style current but still remaining good quality on my tight budget! I'm sure that not everyone will agree, but leopard print jeans/trousers are one of the items that I am regarding more and more as an essential part of my wardrobe for the upcoming A/W. I have already ticked off boots, a couple of pairs of smarter trousers, a  sweater and a good dress from my list and this could just complete the set!

Looking at Ring My Bell earlier today my attention was drawn to the Current/Elliot beauties, but no matter how much I try to stretch my final paycheck of the summer, I'm not sure the £200 can be justified. I remembered seeing the Whistles cigarette pants on a recent shopping trip and they are slightly more affordable at £125, but although I adore the small spot print, I am pretty sure the cut wouldn't flatter me anywhere near as much. At the other end of the scale, these cropped skinnies from River Island (which I found on Asos) are a complete bargain but just not quite right. I feel like a might hold on to see if other high street stores produce what I'm looking for, and in the meantime I might just have to buy the Topshop leopard print leggings to satisfy my craving.

What are your opinions on leopard print trousers/leopard print in general? Is it over done or do you think it's fabulous? And if anybody can point me in the direction of my dream pair I will be forever in your debt!
