Siren

Top: Zara, Jeans: Topshop, Bag: Farhi by Nicole Farhi, Lips: 120 Siren by No 7

Really enjoying being able to snap my outfits at the minute but it does add a certain amount of pressure to getting dressed in the morning! No rolling out of bed and staggering to uni in the same jumper I slept in (I don't really do this, I have thought about it though when it's too cold to get undressed/dressed again). A bit of a standard outfit today but I do really love this Zara tee, they have so many basics with brill details at the minute. The bag is pretty special too! I need to win the lottery this week because I went for a little look around the shops and could have spent a hefty amount on clothes and makeup... if I had any money at all. Do you think it's time to get stuck into spring/summer wardrobes?

Minty Fresh

Blouse: Forever 21, Jeans: Topshop, Bandeau: Primark, Nails: Minty Fresh from No 7

Sorryyy everyone but I decided against a Sunday post this week because, quite frankly, I had a pretty boring week that was mostly full days of uni work and actual work so there was nothing really to report! When I woke up this morning and was faced with the beautiful sunshine, of course I was happy but I did not have a clue what to wear! I'm not a fan of getting my legs out, especially in their current pasty state so I went with some really old jeans from Topshop and a lightweight forever 21 blouse so I didn't look too keen at the sight of the sun! I'm home for 2 weeks for easter at the minute and actually have very little planned so far so hopefully the next couple of weeks can be a little bit of a post fest to make up for being so rubbish! Me, my mum and my sister have posted LOADS of stuff on eBay this weekend, so check our listings out here, all very bargainous and some good labels in there!

I hope everyone has had a lovely mothers day and that you've spoiled your mums rotten! I had a perfect afternoon with my mum and my siblings and we stuffed ourselves with tapas. I hope you enjoy the terribly attractive photo of us, well she looks brill at least, so much love for my mum! It's been another lovely weekend after a silly busy week. Next week I'm working toward a big meeting for graduate fashion week on thursday so it's going to be long, long days at uni, boooo! I'll be back to blogging after then most probably and have two weeks at home so I hope to get on a roll with some posting, I'm getting annoyed by being so sporadic (thank you clueless for teaching me this word)! I did a little bit of shopping this weekend and cannot recommend Zara enough at the minute, I've picked up two tees from there recently, they have the best basics in! Also, Topshop are floating my boat by being so girly and lovely, excited for some sun! Be back soon!

Just Peachy

I made my first MUA purchase from my local Superdrug last week and after a little bit of deliberation over what to try first I decided that I wanted to add to my lipstick collection the most. I already have my perfect red (No 7 Moisture Drench in Siren) and a nice rosy pink from Benefit (Lady's Choice) that I'm using day to day so I went for something a little different for me and picked up this peachy pink colour, which is Shade 15 'Juicy'. For £1 you really can't go all that wrong and as I am on a very strict budget it was nice for me to be able to treat myself to a little something without having to worry about where the money for rent/food/bills is going to come from. I really love the shade and am so keen to wear when the sun comes out! I do wish that the colour was a little more pigmented but I'm really not going to complain about it for £1, I find it quite buildable anyway. The only real problem I have is that I currently have quite dry lips and this does seem to highlight that. It's not that it's drying, it just clings to the dry bits if you know what I mean (sounds pretty vile, sorry!). Does anyone have any advice on quick, cheap and effective ways to get rid of my chapped lips so I can wear this lipstick without having to slather on tonnes of lip balm?

Overall, I would say this is definitely worth a try for £1, I will 100% be going back for more lipsticks and more products!

Springtime leopard print nails: Rustled up a cheeky rib eye steak: Missed my nephews 5th birthday but he still wondered where 'Auntie Pippy' was: Ridiculous animal

It's been a pretty pleasant weekend this weekend, very chilled after a bit of rubbish week in parts! I was hoping to be able to post more in the last week but life and uni very much got in the way so sorry about that! I just thought I'd post you a couple of things that made me smile this week amongst all the stressing. I haven't done leopard nails and ages and I loved how they looked against the nude, sometimes I can be just as much a fan of an understated nail as I can bright, in your face manicures. I had my first telephone interview ever on Friday for an easter job at a camp, wish me luck I really need the money!!

Viv

This post is a bit picture heavy, sorry! I remember when I first started really getting an interest in fashion and longing to own just a little bit of Vivienne Westwood. There's something about her and her clothing and accessories that I will always love! You may remember me posting the pink squiggle purse in a wishlist a couple of weeks back and my boyfriend got it so right on my 21st this year! I love everything about this purse. It's lovely and light and soft and the most gorgeous shade of pink (smells really nice too haha!). It's big enough for all of my cards to have their own little slot which you have no idea how handy that is for me and it's generally just the perfect purse, I love whipping it out at the till!
My mum also went down the Viv route and bought me a little Orb pin badge as a little extra that she hopes I will wear and keep for a long time which I have no doubt I will . I've never owned a brooch/badge but I really love adding this to tees, dresses and jackets as a subtle finishing touch. Both bits came in the loveliest packaging too which always adds to the excitement! The purse was from Selfridges but I can't see it on the website anymore, they have this as an embossed alternative though and it's the same shape. The badge was from Harvey Nichols but I can't see it on the website. My mum has found herself inspired by the loveliness of the Vivienne Westwood accessories and has just ordered herself this lovely, which I will have to get a sneaky borrow out of I think.

I've had a really lovely and busy few weeks/weekends, it's always such a shame when it's over isn't it? Next weekend is the first in ages that I don't have any plans to look forward to which is poo. This weekend was my boyfriends birthday and it was another food and drink fest, I'll let my poor body have some kind of detox next week I think! Hoping to post some of my bday presents this week/a little haul so keep your eyes peeled! Hope you've all had wonderful weekends too, did you do anything special?

Pink Friday

Drape Blazers: New Look, Fitted Blazer: H&M, Double Breasted jacket: River Island

Sorry for my not posting this week but I haven't had my laptop and posting on iPad/iPhone is a little tricky and not as I'd like sometimes! I have my laptop back to life now though, but this weekend is another mental one because it's my boyfriend's birthday this time!! I've done a little bit of shopping this week so will try to get a little haul post done next week. I'm off out to dinner in about half hour, already thinking about what I might order! Pink/pastel blazers are taking over my mind right now but I haven't found the perfect one yet. I found one in H&M that was the most ideal cut for my shape but I'm not convinced that I'll wear a neon pink blazer much more than once! As it's a bit of trend item I think it's best off that I pay a little less for one so I'm going to keep my eyes peeled in places like H&M, New Look and Primark for my dream jacket. What's top of your wish list at the minute?

I know its monday and I am definitely a day late with this post but my laptop charger has died! So I'm writing you my first post from my new iPad and loving life. On Friday night my laptop gave up on me and I felt the weight of yet more outgoings on my rather slender bank account. On Saturday, my 21st, all neatly wrapped up in bubble wrap inside a Hobbs shoebox was this beautiful thing. So in love and so shocked! I've had the most perfect birthday weekend and been stupidly spoilt. As this is meant to be a fashion blog I will give a proper little peek at the fashiony bits at some point soon because they are lovely, as are the non-fashion bits but I'm not wanting to be all boastful about what I got, just fancy showing you some pretty things after such a boring spending ban and no new clothes or accessories! To top it all off, hasn't the weather been insanely good? I've never ever had a birthday this nice, I even sat out in a pub garden with my sunnies on a cider, bliss. Back to reality tomorrow which is killing me but for now I'm just gonna eat some more cake because birthday weekends and the mondays following are well known as a free for all on calories.
