Say what you like

Top: Urban Outfitters, Maxi Dress (worn as skirt): H&M, Belt: Primark, Bag: Topshop, Necklace: Miss Selfridge, Nails: Paul & Joe

It looks like the transitional wardrobe period has arrived in the UK and this year I'm looking forward to getting into boots and coats and scarves because summer has been so rubbish anyway. This dip dye sweater was one of my Urban Outfitters buys and was only £25 and goes well with most of my wardrobe so I'll definitely get a lot of wear out it! I've started gathering up my festival essentials for Bestival i.e. dry shampoo and baby wipes and tomorrow I'm going to buy a very lovely hiking backpack. Anyone got any amazing advice to make camping a bit more luxurious?!

I know it's not Sunday, but bank holiday Monday is as good as in my opinion! I went out last night so have of course been sleeping a lot of today and I feel so weird now. This week I'm going to start getting myself sorted for Bestival I think which I'm getting really excited about! Is anyone going? Stevie Wonder is my all time favourite, I don't even know how I'll handle seeing 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered' live!!

p.s. My sister is selling her Bestival ticket for £160 ONO so if you want to go and get a little bit of a bargain then let me know!

Denim and polka dots

Just a quick little tease post today because I'm so pleased with what I got! I decided to make a trip to Southampton today, purely for Urban Outfitters and it was definitely worth the traffic and the rain!! I picked up some complete bargains and came away with exactly what I wanted which isn't always how my shopping trips turn out. I'll definitely be showing some of this off to you in the next week or so!

Paradoxal

Shirt: Topshop, Maxi Skirt: New Look, Necklace: Gift, Bangle: H&M, Nails: Chanel 'Paradoxal'

Just a quick outfit for running errands in this confusing muggy but overcast weather. I actually like the way it came together with the big bun and the minimal jewellery! I'm also really enjoying being freckly after my holiday and therefore not feeling the need for anything other than I bit of concealer which makes a really nice change. I'm off to Bath tomorrow for a little bit of shopping with my sisters and I'm already feeling a bit excited about A/W clothes and a new pair of boots etc. Clearly I should get out more!

This is a scheduled post because I couldn't go away for two weeks without saying goodbye so I hope this goes up ok! After having less time off this week than I was supposed to I had less time to blog and get up all the holiday essentials posts I wanted but I'll be focusing on the fashion while I'm away so that will be up when I'm back. I'm off to France with my family and boyfriend for two weeks in a private villa with a private pool so pretty luxurious really and utterly relaxing. It's a long, long drive and ferry trip and a tasty 2:30 am start but I'm sure it will be fine, we're all just excited to get there and be completely lazy. I won't be posting while I'm away but I will when I get back so see you in two weeks! Hope everyone has a wonderful two weeks whatever you're doing!

Holiday Essentials #2

I don't wear tonnes of makeup when I go away, especially not in the day time, but I do like to be able to create pretty makeup looks for the evening. My makeup bag is from H&M.

001. Face - I find bare minerals to be the easiest foundation when I'm away as it's nice and light and effortless to apply with my real techniques buffing brush. I also have two shades and find them both quite adaptable to my skin tone which is ideal for when I (hopefully) get a bit of colour. Sometimes I like to just use a primer to perfect and even out my skin a little without having to wear a lot of makeup.
002. Cheeks - Cheeks are my favourite to focus on when I've got a little bit of colour and I'm out and about in the sunshine. I love a light peachy tone blush, a little bit of bronzer and a lot of highlighter with a tan!
003. Eyes - Bronze, shimmery eyes with a lengthening mascara is one of my favourite summer and holiday looks. I wear a lot less mascara and black eye makeup than I would normally and try to make my eyes like as bright and wide as possible.
004. Lips - I'm much more of a glossy lip person when I'm on holiday as it's easy to apply and to keep topped up. Also, no unfortunate melting incidents in your bag! That said, I can't be without a couple of light and pretty colours. Cut a Caper by Mac is my new favourite, so pretty and so easy to wear.
