Ridiculous: Mulled wine at Winchester christmas market: 'The Black Bottle': My mum thinks I'm 10: Dressing up the pugs take 2: Loving christmas carols
You can follow me on instagram @lucillejp

I'm having one of the nicest build ups to christmas this year involving lots of time hanging out with friends and family I haven't seen much of recently. On Saturday I went to Winchester for a friends birthday and we spent a long, long afternoon in a wine bar called 'The Black Bottle' which I would really recommend if you're ever in the area! I've got a day of work tomorrow and then a good, long string of dinners and drinks up until the day itself next Tuesday!

The post title might not be all that exciting but there's something about planning your christmas party/christmas day/new years eve outfit that really is! I'm determined that this year I'll wear an outfit or outfits that I LOVE after feeling less than comfortable last year. Of course anything sparkly is a must and the more glitter the better in my eyes. I'm looking forward to wearing crazy high heels and bold lipstick the most and being a bit OTT for once.

What will you be wearing to festive parties?

Journey essentials: Models Own 'Mushroom' and 'Juicy Jules': Uni life: Poppin bottles with my sisters: Obligatory advent calendar photo: Procrastination at its finest: Disso fuel: Cheesy: Xmas candle and green tea to make me feel better: Festive nails: Always rowdy: So unlike me to get sushi for lunch: More like me, Wahaca <3: Perfection: Cuddling baby girls

Oh hey! It's been a while hasn't it? I literally became so overwhelmed with uni work and other things that I pretty much had to forget blogging and blogs existed for a few weeks, so sad. I've handed in, presented and come home for christmas now though so I'm a much happier person and much more available to share my clothing and makeup loves with you for a while at least! Big question though ... is everyone feeling festive?

Christmas list

Fur coat: Topshop, Necklace: Zara, IPad case: Marc by Marc Jacobs via Selfridges, Watch: Casio via Urban Outfitters, Hat: Topshop, Perfume: Chloe, Lipstick and Nail Varnish: Illamasqua set via ASOS, Perfume: Stella McCartney

I've been pretty much bed bound for the last 5 days with a rubbish stomach virus so it's been a good opportunity to think about a brill christmas list for this year. I text my mum with all the many discount codes that were around this week (seriously, crazy amounts!) so I'm hoping one or two of these will be turning up under the tree! I bought my first presents today and it's a good feeling to start the shopping. I'm excited about christmas, but I'm not going to be on my usual level until I hand in on the 5th December! Will be drinking mulled wine and watching Home Alone that day for sure!

What's on your list?

Oh hey! Same old work/lack of camera excuse for the lack of posts recently, I've missed it a lot. This weekend has been a much better and heavier one than expected so tonight I'm chilling with 90210, candles and my new Origins face mask (and some dissertation work boooo). I'm looking forward to heading home this Wednesday for a little bit of work and some catching up with the family and probably the new Nandos at home.

How was your weekend?

Gothic

Flats: Office, Heels: Office, Hat: American Apparel, Dress: Topshop, Tee: Topshop, Ring: Topshop, Blush: Nars 'Outlaw'

First of all, sorry! I haven't blogged in a while because it's all going on at the minute and final year is definitely full on. Anyone else doing their dissertation at the minute?! Nightmare. Anyway, I thought I'd compile a little wishlist as (hopefully) it's payday on Friday and my wardrobe is looking out for a little boost. I have a big birthday party to go to on Saturday so top of my list is a really nice pair of heels that I'm planning on seeing me through the rest of the 'party period' as well!

What's on your wishlist at the minute? I'm always up for some enabling!

Childish

All images can be found on my Tumblr here

Boohoo, no camera so I'm going to have to go with instagrams and found images for a little while I'm afraid. I'm at the beginning of a short 10 week fashion product project and my dissertation at the minute and both are children/youth based hence the slight childish theme. I love tumblr for organising my thoughts and inspirations at the beginning of projects! Please feel free to leave links to any of yours in the comments and I'll definitely check them out, perfect form of procrastination!

I just thought I'd take the opportunity for some final thoughts on my two weeks on Jenny Craig. I had hoped to do a better post with some more images but the burglary has kind of gotten in the way of all that and because I went home unexpectedly as a result I finished about a day and a half early, although I've made the effort to use up what I missed at the beginning of this week. I would save it for another time but it's probably best to do it while it's all fresh in my head. First of all I'm going to say how over the moon I was to find out that I lost around 5/6 lbs on the diet plan! For two weeks of pretty enjoyable food and never feeling hungry I think this is amazing! I would definitely recommend it to anyone that feels like they need to get out of some bad habits. While I can't afford to continue on the plan on my student budget, I have adopted the basic principles of the plan (such as small but regular meals and fruit with my breakfast and salad with my lunch) to incorporate my own foods and I'm hoping to carry on losing a few more lbs if I don't fall into dangerous uni habits of snacking on chocolate when I'm stressed! If you're intrigued check out their website here. I'm very grateful for the opportunity to try the diet and would definitely consider it again after uni as I was so impressed with how easy it was to stick to.

Going out with LouLou: Snuggled up with 90210: Topshop and UO 'Twinkie': Some new bits, I have a problem: My gal Lola <3: Going out #2: Finally got my Models Own polishes!!: Salted caramel hot chocolate, dream: Tea pigs ice tea at Giraffe, another dream

From the looks of this weeks instagrams it looks like I might have been having a brill time. For the most part it was ok, uni was a bit of a stress but apart from that it was all good. Unfortunately, my weekend has been pretty shit. My uni house was burgled on Friday night and the scumbags got a hell of a lot of stuff including my iPad (with it's brand new case - livid!!!) and my camera so I'm not gonna be able to take any good blog photos for a while. I'm pretty gutted but at the end of the day it's just material possessions and at least no one was in and got hurt or anything. The worst part now is feeling like the house is unsafe and thinking that they might come back. So if anyone's got anything that is a definite way to make me laugh or smile that would be pretty much the best thing! Hope your weekend has been good one!

Current Favourites

It's been a while since I last did one of these, mainly because I stick to my favourite products for a long time and don't change it up all that much. But, now it's a new season I've noticed I'm using a few different products which I'm really enjoying and thought I would share with you lovely people!

001. I'm still waiting on my Models Own summer sale order (anyone else?!) but in the meantime I've been going for these two gorgeous Chanel shades on and off with the UO top coat if I'm feeling a bit sparkly! The Essie base coat is so good for giving a flawless manicure as it completely smoothes out the nails.
002. I adore my Bioderma and I've used nothing else to remove my makeup since I got back from France in August. With the winter weather well and truly starting and my skin feeling a bit dull and dry, this No 7 exfoliator has been a great rescue on bad skin days. It's not too harsh and leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth.
003. I've has a semi-permanent colour put on my hair and I'm wanting to make it last as long as possible but still want to tame the fluffiness where it's quite dry. This little Aussie combo has been doing the trick so far.
004. I was given the Lancome mascara and was unsure whether I'd like it because I am SO picky about mascaras, but I actually really do love it and find it makes my lashes look really long and full. The rimmel nude eyeliner is well worth the hype for making your eyes look brighter and more awake. And, do I really need to say anything on the Naked palette? My favourite for daytime and night time looks at the minute.
005. I'd never tried the Kate Moss lipsticks before last week but I can see that I will be purchasing many more and making them a staple in my makeup bag. The matte shade 107 is an amazing autumnal tone and I find it really easy to wear and a lovely formula, even on my quite dry lips. I had to include this Collection illuminating concealer, this is amazing for under eye circles (and my lasting perfection concealer for blemishes).

What are your favourites at the minute?

Jenny Craig Week 1

Today marks the midway point of my two weeks on Jenny Craig so I thought I'd let anyone that's interested know how I've got on so far! If you haven't heard of Jenny Craig, it's basically a diet food plan that provides you with all your meals and snacks where you just have to add salad, fruits and veg throughout the day along with some other bits such as proteins and fats sometimes. The meals are all so quick and easy to prepare and having it all delivered to your door is incredibly convenient! The weekly consultations are informative and non-pressured and help with keeping you focused and on track with the plan.

Like a literal answer to my prayers, after a weekend of complete and utter over-indulgement at Bestival, I came home to find an email from the lovely Lauren offering me the 14 day trial. I couldn't have thought of anything more perfect after having had not just one but two Byron burgers from their Bestival stall (eek!!) and an incredible amount of cider and other high calorie drinks. I decided to start the trial when I got back to uni and was in a better routine. I have found it an absolute breeze so far because the meals are all so tasty and the information provided is all so helpful and keeps me on track. The breakfasts of porridge and muesli have been my favourite part and have been keeping me full up all morning. The only meal I haven't been keen on finishing was the pea and ham soup but almost everything else has been to my taste! I've never gone hungry and have in fact not been at all hungry for some of the mid morning and afternoon snacks that are scheduled, which is crazy as my calorie level is only 1,200. I already feel like the Jenny Craig plan has helped me learn better habits in regards to portion sizes and adding fruit and veg to every meal, not just dinner. I've saved up all the days that have my favourite foods for next week so I'm sure I'll enjoy that even more but I will let you know!

If you're interested in the Jenny Craig plan, you can visit their website here

Wise advice from my mum: Monki order: 3 for 2 Boots goodies: Kate Moss matte lipstick love: Love my Monki glass keepers: Looper date

So week 1 is done in my last winter term ever of uni eeek, only 9 more to go! I've had a project brief and my dissertation brief and although I am completely pooing myself about the realness and the importance of it all, I am definitely excited to finish uni and get into the industry etc etc. Stable income is exciting when you've been a student for 4 years. This weekend my boyfriend visited and I took advantage of the slightly less pressure that first week brings and took a little trip to the shops and to Costa, went to see Looper and finished the first season of Revenge (amazing!). I'm going to get serious about it all tomorrow though which is terrifying! Anybody else in a similar situation?

What I've Bought...

Rimmel 'Scandaleyes' eyeliner in nude; Rimmel 'Kate Moss' lipsticks in 19 and 107 (matte); Eyelure Individual lashes; Collection 'Lasting Perfection' and 'Illuminating Touch' Concealers in 01 and 02; Monki Jumper, Sunglass Keeper and Collar Tips: Topshop Fur Lined Camo Jacket and Monki Shirt; Minnetonka Moccasins

Ok, so I may have had a big payday last Friday and I may have gotten a little excited about it and treated myself - a lot. As I'm now back at uni for third year though, I'd rather I spend the money on a winter wardrobe than drink it all away and be too poor for a vital pair of boots in a months time! And also, there have been crazy amounts of discount codes lately so I've been taking full advantage!

The Monki items are all amazing and such lovely quality. I feel paying £6 postage for those bits was worth it because of the great prices and the fact I can't get it on my local high street. The Minnetonka moccasins are so comfortable and versatile and I'd highly recommend! I got mine 20% off through Urban Outfitters but ASOS sell them too, just size down because they come up big and stretch out too! My favourite makeup buy is definitely the Rimmel matte lipstick, I have shade 107 and I absolutely love it for winter.

What have you been buying lately? Not that I need any more encouragement, there are 3 more packages to come eek!

Romantic gesture: Best kind of day: New hurrr: Jenny Craig goodies!: Chanel 'Paradoxal' and Urban Outfitters 'Twinkie': Moccasins: Cocktails #1: Cocktails round 2: R.I.P: Fur collar on: HD brows <3: Amazing combo: Lovely presents from my boyfriends Mum: Chanel 'Holiday', gorgeous colour!: Cosy

Hello all! Another big catch up because I know I've been absent on here since Monday and a lot recently. Good news is that I'm back to uni and have a much lovelier room than last year that might even work for outfit photos. And as I've got quite a few naughty online orders on the way, there will be plenty to show you! I'm also starting 2 weeks on the Jenny Craig diet plan tomorrow so I'll be posting about my thoughts on that soon if you're interested! I've been feeling a bit sorry for myself today as I always do when I go back to uni and have to leave my boyfriend and family etc so I've lit some candles and I'm going to watch New Girl and do my (summer) project. I'll save going out and being embarrassing for in the week...

Wishing for...

Moccasins: Minnetonka, Cardigan: Topshop, Jumper: Monki, Boots: Topshop, Shirt: Monki, Lipstick: Illamasqua in 'Salacious'

I can't even tell you how big my wishlist is at the minute! I'm just feeling so excited by all the coats and boots that are around and feeling inspired to kick off my winter wardrobe. I've already bought a fur lined camo jacket from topshop and some darker winter jeans (the new Topshop jamie's are so nice!) but that's nowhere near enough. Luckily for me, it's payday this friday so I'm hoping to purchase some of this before I had back to uni and have to use my money for actually living off of!

What are you wishing for at the minute?

edit: I may have just ordered the moccasins...

First of all, massive apologies that it's been ages since my last post! After I got back from Bestival I just seem to have been so busy/tired and struggling to fit everything in a little. I had one of those amazing, productive days today though so I'm back on track and thought I'd start off with a little recap of things I've been up to recently.

What have you been up to?

Packing light

Black top: Urban Outfitters, Floral dress: Topshop, Denim shirt: Topshop, Shorts: (Levi's) Urban Outfitters, Hat: Urban Outfitters, Spike necklace: Topshop, Cross necklace: Topshop, Bag: Primark, Scarf: Burberry, Belt: Really old from a 'skater' shop!!!

So, I've started to pack for Bestival because I've got to work tomorrow and the amount of stuff I'm trying to cram into my bag is a joke. I've got to get a train with two changes, a ferry, a shuttle bus etc etc and there's no way I'm carrying more than I need so I thought I'd be one of those clever people that creates a festival 'capsule wardrobe' to leave more space for cider and cereal bars. I've impressively managed to whittle it all down to 4 separate clothing bits that translates to 5 whole outfits plus accessories and shoes etc. I'm not going to pretend that all I'll take is these four things but it's definitely a good start and has gotten rid of some very unnecessary baggage.

What's your favourite look?

Say what you like

Top: Urban Outfitters, Maxi Dress (worn as skirt): H&M, Belt: Primark, Bag: Topshop, Necklace: Miss Selfridge, Nails: Paul & Joe

It looks like the transitional wardrobe period has arrived in the UK and this year I'm looking forward to getting into boots and coats and scarves because summer has been so rubbish anyway. This dip dye sweater was one of my Urban Outfitters buys and was only £25 and goes well with most of my wardrobe so I'll definitely get a lot of wear out it! I've started gathering up my festival essentials for Bestival i.e. dry shampoo and baby wipes and tomorrow I'm going to buy a very lovely hiking backpack. Anyone got any amazing advice to make camping a bit more luxurious?!

I know it's not Sunday, but bank holiday Monday is as good as in my opinion! I went out last night so have of course been sleeping a lot of today and I feel so weird now. This week I'm going to start getting myself sorted for Bestival I think which I'm getting really excited about! Is anyone going? Stevie Wonder is my all time favourite, I don't even know how I'll handle seeing 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered' live!!

p.s. My sister is selling her Bestival ticket for £160 ONO so if you want to go and get a little bit of a bargain then let me know!

Denim and polka dots

Just a quick little tease post today because I'm so pleased with what I got! I decided to make a trip to Southampton today, purely for Urban Outfitters and it was definitely worth the traffic and the rain!! I picked up some complete bargains and came away with exactly what I wanted which isn't always how my shopping trips turn out. I'll definitely be showing some of this off to you in the next week or so!

Paradoxal

Shirt: Topshop, Maxi Skirt: New Look, Necklace: Gift, Bangle: H&M, Nails: Chanel 'Paradoxal'

Just a quick outfit for running errands in this confusing muggy but overcast weather. I actually like the way it came together with the big bun and the minimal jewellery! I'm also really enjoying being freckly after my holiday and therefore not feeling the need for anything other than I bit of concealer which makes a really nice change. I'm off to Bath tomorrow for a little bit of shopping with my sisters and I'm already feeling a bit excited about A/W clothes and a new pair of boots etc. Clearly I should get out more!
