Carry me home

Bag: Lodinatt, Jacket: Miss Selfridge, Necklace: Miss Selfridge, Vest: H&M

I wouldn't say that I'm somebody who's short of bags, but what I do have is a wardrobe full of weeny little satchels and not one bag I can use for overnight stays, days out or travelling. With a holiday, a couple of festivals and much more coming up for me this summer, this needed to be rectified and so when I was contacted by Lodinatt it was as if someone had been listening to my whinges about my lack of such a bag, aside from my poor Mum. I am thrilled with my 'two levels canvas bag', not only is this bag so pretty, it is also incredibly functional. There are loads of useful pockets and compartments, my favourites being the shoe section at the bottom of the bag and the laptop pocket inside, which I use for my iPad. The long, detachable strap is also in keeping with my preferred satchel style and so all in all it works perfectly for me! I tried desperately to get some outfit photos with the bag because I thought it looked pretty brill with my khaki jacket but clearly I was having a bad hair/face/body day so that will have to wait until another day!

Sorry for being a little bit absent this week but I have actually just accepted a new job! I've had a few interviews and trials but in the end I decided to choose enjoyment over hours and will be starting on a menswear concession at a local department store tomorrow. Wish me luck and I hope you've all been enjoying yourselves this week!

Short and sweet

Shirt: Monki, Necklace:H&M, Bag: Topshop, Blazer: Urban Outfitters, Nails: Barry M 'Peach Melba'

Gonna keep it short and sweet today because I'm just on my way out. Having another lovely, fun filled weekend but the rain is really limiting my wardrobe at the minute. Threw on my Monki shirt again because it's so easy to wear and adds a little bit of colour! Hope you are all having lovely weekends too and thank you ever so much for all your really kind comments recently.

Enjoy yourself

Top: American Apparel, Skirt: New Look, Necklace: Miss Selfridge, Nails: Barry M 'Peach Melba', Lips: Mac 'Creme Cup'

So nice to see some sun in the middle of all these rainy days! I've got all of these sandals and dresses and skirts stashed away that I shove on as soon as the sun comes out for a day. Today I was able to wear my new chiffon maxi skirt from New Look (reminds me a lot of the AA ones!!) and this pretty little American Apparel crop top that I got in London over GFW. It's a really simple and comfortable outfit that I know I'll wear a lot of if the weather allows.

Today my sister and I bought our first piece of stock for a little online shop we're setting up. Any recommendations on the best site to do this on? Our original thought was eBay as there's a lot of traffic but also considering other options now that we're getting a little more serious about it! I've also started back on the couch to 5k running programme. I've cheated a little and started on week 3 to push myself a bit more but I've done 3 runs and the 30 day shred in these last 3 days so I must be loving it. Would definitely recommend it!

If ever I could say I have over-indulged, this weekend is it. Friday night was a dinner party and lots of wine, Saturday was both afternoon and nighttime drinks and cocktails and today was a feast of homemade scones and cream cakes and lots of Pimms. It's all been very lovely and (maybe) completely worth the few lbs I have definitely gained. I've been on some kind of mad job hunt, applying for all sorts in need of some summer work to maintain regular dinner and cocktail outings like this! What have you been up to this weekend?

Artesian

Shirt: Topshop, Cardigan: New Look, Necklace: H&M, Nails: Chanel 'Paparazzi'

Everythings been very pleasant and lovely since I've been home! I had the worlds most chill day at work yesterday and actually came home with so much energy! Today I've been with my sisters buying birthday presents and a couple of bits to take with me to a dinner party at my friends house tonight. Tomorrow is going to be more present buying (lots of birthdays in June in my family!) and then a couple of drinks in town and then of course a big family gathering on Sunday for Fathers day and my sisters birthday. How nice?!

I bought this denim shirt from Topshop while on the hunt for some easy to wear but smart pieces for Graduate Fashion Week. I wanted to know I would feel nice and look put together if I had to talk to anyone about the stand etc! I didnt end up wearing this as I bought the floral shirt from Monki but I kept it nonetheless as I love the pale blue colour and the fact that its button up and not poppers. A good staple for all seasons I think and its helping me out through this indecisive weather!

Florals and spikes

Shirt: Monki, Necklace: Miss Selfridge, Jacket: Topshop, Nails: Models Own 'Balearic Cool'

I am officially back home now after going straight from finishing uni to 4 days in London for Graduate Fashion Week! I've been working on organising the stand, tickets, goodie bags etcetc for my uni (AUCB in Bournemouth) since January now and its been one of the hardest projects I've ever done. Blogging has definitely taken a back seat throughout but fortunately the hard work has paid off and we've been short listed for the stand award and we'll find out if we win tomorrow! I don't know if I would jump at the chance to do this project again but it has been a great experience and will look pretty good on my CV so I'm glad I took part.

I definitely bought myself my fair share of 'treats' in London this weekend. I will show them all off to you at some point but my favourite purchase was definitely this floral shirt from Monki!! I don't know what it is about it that I love so much, I just keep wanting to put it on with everything! This week I've got job interviews and bits ad pieces of work but mostly I'm going to aim to have a bit of time to chill out and blog for the first time in ages.

Let my know if any of you have been at GFW and seen our stand! I'd love to hear your thoughts!

I'm so sorry I've been so poor at blogging. Preparations for Graduate Fashion Week are crazy, had to make 120 goodie bags this week, and I mean actually make the bag from scratch and everything. Next weekend it starts and the AUCB's stand is going to be pretty brill so I'll definitely show you all somehow! I'm very much enjoying all this jubilee business this week, love a bit of patriotism and quality family time. What are you getting up to over the 4 day weekend?
