Smell of success

Hello beauties, can't believe I haven't been able to post for a whole week! Unfortunately I'm not going to have internet until the 11th October and we don't have a TV so there's been a lot of dancing around the house, a bit of shopping (some bits to show you when I can), eating out at every opportunity and properly going for it pretending I'm a fresher all over again. I'm just researching perfume adverts for my summer projects so I've got to be quick, but I will leave you with a couple of my favourites you lucky things! I'm a Marc Jacobs 'Daisy' girl, what do you wear?

Thankyou for all continuing to comment and read, means the world to know I have readers to come back to. How's uni, work and the start of October (crazy weather!) going for you all? And how am I going to live without TV or internet for another 10 days? No TOWIE, MIC or blogging is making me feel very disconnected

Feeling fresh

Top: Topshop, Shirt: Only, Trousers: Peacocks, Necklace: Miss Selfridge

I've managed to steal my boyfriends internet for the evening! Our connection should happen sometime this week so I shouldn't be too absent after all. We had a house warming gathering last night and I'm not quite sure what I drank but I definitely wasn't entirely in control of what I was saying or doing, oh dear. Settling back into student life very nicely and looking forward to (re)freshers week. Hows everyone liking starting uni or being back? Anyone succumbed to freshers flu yet?!

Just a terrible photo I took before our party last night and a photo booth special of my makeup which I quite liked but you can't see terribly well, god why have I even bothered with pictures! Does anyone else find dressing for house parties the most awkward thing, especially your own? I was like, do I wear shoes, do I dress down, can I wear a jacket? I didn't really like my outfit for that reason, I prefer to get more dressed up when I'm partying and I wish I'd worn my hair straight. That's the problem with taking photos of my outfits like this, makes me realise that I didn't look as good as I thought I did in the mirror, which is obviously quite distressing. Getting used to where I can take photos in my new room and as it gets darker earlier now I need to make sure I take photos in time or I'm going to get this horrible lighting! I'll figure it out. Hopefully I'll get a chance to blog within the next few days and another thankyou to everyone who has been commenting, was lovely to log into blogger and see such kind words

High hair and high waists

So, just in case you didn't know already as I've not mentioned it quite enough times, I'm back to uni today (I have scheduled this post, first time so a bit unsure about it). Bad news is that we don't have an internet connection just yet so blogging might just be a little slow for the next week. While I'm at it, any advice on internet/tv packages? We're a house of 6 girls and I fear that we're going to be fairly useless! Bare with me though, because as I will be going out a lot pretending I'm a fresher again there will be plenty of outfits and lolz to share so I will promise to be worth the wait!

Thought I would do another photo post today as last weeks was so popular! Just photos that I find personally inspiring, exciting or beautiful that some of you might enjoy (they're all reblogs or posts from my tumblr so you will find credits there). Might make this a weekly feature, what do people think? Or should I just do it as and when I feel like it? I don't know how I feel about weekly post kind of things as I just post what I feel like each day and share with you what I hope is something interesting. You can find my tumblr here if you're interested and if you've got a tumblr you'd like me to check out leave the link in the comments and I will drop by! Hopefully I will be able to blog on Sunday or Monday, but  if not I will be back soon

Zebra

Jacket: River Island, Scarf: Primark, Trousers: New Look, Top: New Look, Bag: Primark

Bit of an animal scarf theme occuring! I actually struggled for so long to find something to wear this kimono jacket with. I got it in the summer sale for about £20 but when I saw a woman at work try it on and then compare it to a graduation gown I just could not find an outfit that didn't make me feel ridiculous in it! I really like it with the New Look trousers and a scarf, although I maybe wish I hadn't put it with a button down top for some reason. I feel like a made a substantial effort with this outfit considering that I was only doing the school run for my sister. I do everything possible to make sure I don't get mistaken for a mum when I do stuff like that for her! I just don't seem to be out of a scarf at the minute which is kind of unlike me, think I've worn one for the last three days!

I should really, really start thinking about packing my life up for uni at some point, I'm back on Saturday. Anyone else going back this weekend? How much time do you give yourself to pack? I swear I usually start packing about a week before, I just don't know where to start this time round, I'm too excited to get back!

Leopard

Sweater: Topshop, Jeans: Primark, Belt: New Look, Bag: Primark, Scarf: 'Louis Vuitton' (fake)

I wore this for a little shopping trip yesterday and was at an ideal temperature for this kind of in between weather at the minute. I decided it was essential that I went shopping to get my hands on these faux leather trousers as an alternative to the leggings I bought. They were only £10 more and the quality is surprisingly good (they feel sturdy) and I love how stretchy they are, makes them so much more comfortable than I expected. It is true that you need to size up, and the zip at the back is a bit of a pain (I literally had to plank on my bed to get it done up first time) but I don't care because they look amazing, completely in love. I also went and stocked up in Boots of all places with Aussie products in the 3 for 2 deal and a red lipstick and a nail varnish with the No 7 vouchers that are still going somehow. And I finally got my hands on Angels on Bare Skin from Lush and I used it this morning and love how my skin feels right now!

Putting a little ban on spending until next week hopefully so that I can waste it all on going out and being ridiculous before uni starts again! I'm so excited. Just to quickly mention the scarf, my boyfriends mum gave it to me and it's like a really good fake Louis Vuitton. If anyone is interested I can ask her about where she got it from, she's compared it to a real one and apparently the real one was just softer. I'm in love with it, it's so warm and cosy without feeling too heavy like a proper wool scarf. What are peoples thoughts on fakes like this? Of course I would love to have the real deal but when it's just not possible I feel like I don't mind a bit of fake especially when it's as subtle as a scarf (would we call this scarf subtle?! haha). Oh and can you believe how awful the lighting is in these? I mean, I'm no photography whizz but I know these don't look great for being taken at 12 in the afternoon!
